  • Hi...yes, I'm in S.W. Pa, near rt 51 & I-70...I have the new seal kit from Groff...apparently they've updated the kit since 1987, and don't supply the proper buffer seal for the early 580K glands...the directions say to leave it out, but I don't see what leaving the old one in would hurt...

    OK, if you do not mind me asking what did Groff charge for the kit? As far as the buffer seal are you talking about the outer "dust" seal? If so most of the originals fall out anyway so if yours is still good I would leave it on as well. FWIW I use a hydro shop in Allison Park that can make (for me) seals (cnc) that are not available.
