I recently bought and alternator from a dealer and they sold me a 12v alternator instead of the 24v one that the machine calls for. After changing the part the excavator made it 50 ft and stopped completely. The alternator melted and the power to the cab was dead. The dealer sent a technician who replaced the 45amp fuse to the cab and then we sent it to the dealer to finish repairing it. The dealer says the fuse box in the cab was bad and wants $1000 to repair the unit even though they sold us the wrong part. What do you all think?
