If you buy a Dresser you might find a machine but not a dealer, if you do find a dealer parts will be rare and expensive and you could have another kid waiting for the parts to arrive. the above guys that compare a D6 to a Deere 650 have not taken their medication. In the midsize and up workhorses you got 2 options Cat and Komatsu

i have a case 850 h. i don't know where everybody came up with 21 ton. 21,000 pounds. i am not sure of the exact weight. any way, for me it is a perfect setup. it is bareback and baldheaded. it had 2300 hours on it and i bought it in 08 for 50k.
it can push up pit run, build road, backfill, finish grade. it has great balance annd great power, little chilly in the winter.:usa:usa:usa
