Trying to help a friend that has a CAT 259D. Tag on side Reads: CAT0259DTFL12739. Need to get all the manuals for this unit. Not sure if it is a "Compact Track Loader" or a "Multi Terrain Loader". You would think it would have CTL or MTL in the serial number and not TFL.

It’s a CTL, and I believe you meant FTL and not TFL. FTL is what cat refers to as a Prefix. Nige will be along shortly to refer you to the proper manual for your machine that can be purchased and downloaded.

There are no less than nine different S/N prefixes for the 259D model alone, let alone the rest of the CTL Product Line. It's just coincidence that the FTL prefix on this machine is somewhat close to what it actually is.

Operation & Maintenance (aka O&M). Covers all the basics of controls, warning systems, operation, and details of all the scheduled maintenance tasks plus info on recommended fluids, etc, etc.

Parts. Exactly what it says on the tin. A complete parts listing for the machine.

Service. This is a full repair manual for the machine, covering System Operation, Testing & Adjusting, Specifications, Troubleshooting, etc. It also contains schematics for the electrical & hydraulics systems and includes a copy of the O&M. NOTE: If you buy a used one in paper format always ask the question "Is it complete?" because the O&M and schematics have a nasty habit of going AWOL.

Parts - SEBP5971. Paper $156, CD $109.
