Are you paid by the cord or ton and how much?
I haven't cut a stick of wood since 1977.

Around here everything is by the ton and it varies by conditions from $13-$18 including trucking.

By the ton here too. 10 to 12 to put it on the truck depending on the wood and terrain. This includes building waterbars and any other structures required to keep erosion to a minimum. Trucking is usually separate and is around 0.13 per ton per mile with either a 6 or 6.50 minimum.

Shovel ground is around $15/ton and yarding is $30+/ton, that's on smaller wood. Bigger wood is usually payed by net scale and can vary quite a bit.

Around here it's mostly by cubic meter. Private sales are often sold by ton.

Price varies a fair amount depending on hardwood vs conifer and trucking cost. Heard up to $65/m3 last winter but that was also close to a two hour haul one way for large spruce logs.
