So we have a mill that raises the hood just fine but when you go to put it down it still tries to raise. we have replaced the switch, checked the selonoids that are associated with the hood raising and cant find anything. one thing thats weird and that stands out is there is a red wire connected on the back of the switch along with two blue wires. we undid the red wire and functioned the switch and for some reason while it is disconnected there is still power going to it. im not sure how exactly its supposed to be hooked up or maybe theres a break in the wire somewhere im not sure. any help is much appreciated thank you

That would be awesome sir thank you! It’s got me stumped at this point. Like it’ll lower when you open the valve up top and the one next to the belts slowly but that switch just won’t function it down. Up and down make it go up

There may be a problem with the wiring or a short circuit causing the hood to still try to raise when you try to put it down. It's good that you tried disconnecting the red wire, but it's strange that there is still power going to it. It might be a good idea to check the wiring more closely and see if there is a break or issue with the connections. If you're still having trouble, it might be best to consult a professional for further assistance. Good luck!

The Germans love to confuse others. Their schematics only make sense to them. The schematics aren't too bad once you understand how they think.............takes about 40 years.
