What type of Screeds and Pavers are used the most in North Carolina. Do contractors use the Carlson Type extendable or is the Wedge lock still used?

I don't know a whole lot about asphalt but what I mainly see around here in central NC are the wheeled machines.

Fred Smith uses cat tracked pavers with carlson screeds and they do a good bit of the paving around here.
