anyone know the procedure to set up a JD 315 to drag onto a truck, work for a rental company and our unit has died at our sister location a few hours away, with Covid trying to get our local driver to get onto a truck to so can dive into at the shop

suspect the starter is pooched based on the diagnostics on site by the driver, need to get this machine off site though to do any repairs, the manuals I have on it of course dont touch on towing

There is no tow procedure for that machine. Just drag it on slowly. Could throw some sand on the deck so the wheels slide a little easier. The other option is to take a wheel loader with you and pick it up with that provided your trailer has enough room for both for the trip back.

sounds like it’s sitting in a dirt or asphalt parking area - presumably can back up to it with a rollback and winch it up. Maybe use tow truck wheel dollies if necessary.
