Tb035 Takeuchi won’t start. Hitachi Ast1-11 safety relay

Brief summary: wouldn’t start after winter storage unless I jumped it with another battery. Verified battery was good, replaced both battery cables. Removed all ground cables and cleaned all mounting surfaces. Even added new grounds. Still will not start without a jump, just get a single click. Has anyone bypassed the Hitachi AST1-11 safety relay or replaced it the more common (and reasonable priced) NSK R11EA relay??

For the next guy looking for this safety relay, It’s also a Hitachi starter relay 2506952. Or Yanmar # 70457115
all other sites listed this relay for over $400.00 usd
