Does anyone know about sensor bars on manlifts? (The sensor bar is a long yellow bar right in front of the control panel on the bucket...if the operator bumps into it, it disables power to the bucket except for emergency power).
I'm trying to find out if they were put there as a result of any kind of lawsuit, or if there's any documentation about accidents before they started putting them on, as well as documents from after they started putting them on. The specific model I'm asking about is a Skyjack SJ85AJ, but any knowledge you have about sensor bars on any other model is fine. They are sometimes called "Secondary Grounding" systems.
Thanks in advance for your help, it is much appreciated.
