air intake tube been damaged for a while lots of blow by out of the slobber tube.it has the mits engine not the 6b cummins. what is the feasability in repairing the old engine over replacement? is the 6b a dirict replacement without making a bunch of other changes?

the cummins is not a direct replacement.
you will be far better off staying with the original engine and having it overhauled.
otherwise, if you call H&R construction parts see if they have a reman engine available for it.
you will need to supply them the full kobelco model and serial number as well as the mitsi model & serial number.
