Last year I bought a SK150lc Mark III serial number SM-00199 I had a guy that was using the machine last year as I was busy running my business Any ways he left and I need to finish the project. While going over the machine today I noticed a dip stick in the center of the machine right behind the boom when I checked it it appears to be low or out of what ever fluid that goes in there. the oil and hydo fluid are both good but what do I put into this dip stick? the machine dose leak some fluids and the table appears to be damp / covered in grease ect. Any one have an owners manual for this machine? what fluid do I need for what this dip stick measures. Thanks!

It sounds like you're describing the dipstick for the planetary gearbox for the swing drive. Add gear oil to the gearbox, but add just a little at a time until it reads proper on the stick. Monitor the level on the stick daily as you use the machine. If the oil level keeps going down then the seal on the bull gear output shaft has failed and you'll have to remove the swing drive to repair it. This might explain your wet base frame as well from oil leaking through the slew ring bearing.

If it keeps dropping away from the stick you're gonna be pulling it out anyway. ;)

No way to predict that as you can't see inside the unit. It could be just the seal is bad and leaking the oil. But it could be the lower shaft bearings have failed which destroyed the seal. If that's the case, destruction can be accelerated.
