This is my own design refuelling filtering device.
Stainless steel housing, inside Komatsu 207-60-71182 hydraulic filter(2 microns, filtering media is composite material (not paper)), electric fuel pump (for diesel fuel only!). Pumps about 30 litres per minute.

After 2 microns, you get less than NAS-5 particul contamination and that's OK for common rail fuel systems. We use it for tank cleaning purposes as well, by just recirculating the fuel.
