Is there a safety start switch on the 580c. I have power coming from the push button but it is not making it to the starter. If so where is it located.

If it has a power shuttle, you will find the neutral start switch near where the oil filler/dipstick pipe enters the shuttle housing.

Look on the right side of the shuttle on the opposite end of the cutout solenoid, it's the one with the little button like slide on connectors..In a pinch the switch can be bypassed, but should be replaced so nobody gets run over...
