I have the mysterious following problem with this fella here:

When is it NOT loaded with weight, it goes down.
1) we replaced an oil pipe which was dripping
2) we replaced the gasket of the piston road
3) and we regulated the valve

Does anyone encountered before this situation?
Thank you for your help.

Couple things come to mind. When used as a holding valve those cartridges need adjusted to a specific spec work properly. You also may have sections of the control valve bleeding oil to each other, a spool sticking etc. Is it all manual control or is there some electrical to it? If there’s electric you could have an issue there with wiring itself, a bad spool, bad coil or errant signal from a controller. If any of the o-rings on the cartridge got cut going it it’ll act funky.

Also, if there’s a cartridge for up and down they won’t be set the same as one side has piston oil and one has rod oil. Different surface areas equal different amounts of force at the same pressure. If they’re set wrong they could be fighting each other.

You might be at the point of capping hoses and working your way to the problem.

We changed the fractured valve and we found a gasket which was almost destroyed, and we fixed it. I want to thank you all you spared your time to help me, and I am going to review your answers in case of future problems. Thank you very much
