Wish I had made a video the pile of red hot lava looked cool so snapped a pic it took about 20 inches of 1/2 inch cutting rod and maybe 5 seconds to burn this 2 inch bolt off and pierce it loosen it

We used to do pins,like the lower boom cyl pins on 980 C s that had worked around salt water with a lance. A length of 3/8" pipe plumbed to your O2 reg ,one guy strikes an arc on the end of the pin ,the other guy turns on the O2 and you shove the pipe thru the pin . A 3 man show but it quickly solved the seized pin problem.

We use the thermal lance a lot at work. Burning a seized pin out is faster, safer, and less labor cost than monkeying with it all day
