TY Plongson I was amazed it worked so well at the time but it was a lot of trips for me on and off the machine and up on the roof . That was 1990.

Had a bit of a scare back then when plowing snow was heading down my driveway around a corner and couldn't slow down. A cinch I had on the floor of the machine jammed the throttle wide open. Had a neighbor with a skidder pull me back up on the rd.

I had to drop in a used motor the seat pedestal needs work. I've rewired the dash it has just a push button start no key. I eliminated that. Or rather age did it. It moves good in low speeds but will not climb a hill in fast gear. 20170124_062003.jpg 20170124_062008.jpg 20170121_165206.jpg

I wasn't looking for 4X4... Just Cab Extendahoe and 4in1
But it had 4x4... I'm lucky , Cause I've needed it more than I thought I would.

I thought yours looked about the same as mine.

I believe torque converter is much more essential than 4 wheel drive. My 580K is 4 wheel drive, only in very sloppy conditions does it get engaged. Walk up to a gravel bank with a clutch tractor, unless it belongs to someone else, and you don't care about the clutch, you dig two holes getting the bucket full. Next bucket, the bank moved a bit. Now you have to crawl up out of the holes to fill the bucket.

With torque converter you don't have to dig the holes at all.

Tire chains are my most important accessory, could not get through winter, or woods work without them.

Look for a very heavy object to easily scoop up in the back bucket. I have two boulders. One barely fits in the back bucket, If I could find a lead ball 20" in diameter I'd prefer it. I scoop up a monster boulder in the front bucket when digging with the backhoe. Extra weight improves the behavior noticeably.

tire chains work wonders I have a set for the winter months. I just plowed a 36 + inch snow storm not to long ago with no chains . I have a video on youtube
