Can the fuel lift
pump on a 2008 Komatsu PC78US-6 excavator be replaced without having to buy the entire injection pump assembly ?

Yes.. It has a P# on it.. DO NOT SCRAPE IT.. get some paint/gasket remover in a spray can at the parts store or walmart.. spray it on, wait 30 seconds & wipe it off..
OR u could just remove it & have it rebuilt..& will be back in your hands quicker than ordering a new 1..
U can get the #'s off the main inj. pump & the fuel shop can find the # of the supply pump THAT WAY.

Field service tech.
like just the hand pumping element???
since you in there clean the fuel screen inside the banjo fitton on the line from the tank to the lift pump block.
pull the banjo fitting out and the screen will unscrew from the inside of the bolt.
DK152200-5420 is the p/n for the hand primer.
