I picked up this old scissor lift attempting to get it going for personal use only but I can’t locate any info about it…I don’t see any tags on it at all….
It’s got a 24v motor that the hydraulic pump mounts to with 2 separate terminals that are on the motor itself and a separate 24v starter solenoid…. I’m basically starting from scratch with the wiring on it as someone has cobbled up the wiring over the years… my first goal is to make the pump motor run even if for short periods just to make sure it functions…. I’ve got experience with 12v stuff but this motor has 2 terminals on it and I’m a little confused as to what exactly hooks to them at first I thought it would be one positive and one negative but checking with continuity I’m getting continuity from one terminal to the other one so I’m Leary of putting any power to it….its got a labeled 24v starter solenoid that is separate from the motor mounted to the lift I know how to wire that it’s just the 2 terminals on the motor that are reading continuity that I don’t understand obviously one would go to the solenoid but the second one I don’t know…Anyone have any idea how to do a basic wiring on this to make the motor run ?
