If there's a Elictric motor any where but the starter, it's a Letourneau.( in the spirit of ,you may be a redneck)

I had seen one on the gov liquidation site in the last couple months, rare but their are some still used. I think a dump body and scraper also was fitted on some like this. nice pic's.

I do believe they were used for crashed plane removal. At the airstrip when a plane crashed you run out there hooked onto the wreckage, hoisted it up as best you could and hauled it off. Quick was the motto to keep the planes coming and going during the war.
