Non-threaded fuel tank drain plug - 2001 Bobcat 334

The manual for this machine suggests that sediment/water can be drained from the tank, but doesn't give any pictures or instructions. In the front right of the machine, I can see a steel plug pressed into a rubber bushing. I was surprised that the drain plug wasn't a threaded bolt.

If I pull this plug out, is it likely to go back without leaking? Is there a good way to pull this plug without damaging the bushing?

If it were me, I'd get a new bushing. The old one will probably be dry and hard.
