this is my newest project, we had a pretty bad flood here a few weeks ago, and all kinds of mud washed out of this drain and into peoples yards...to beat it all the contractors that put the pipe in didnt ditch the exit side and the water just went whereever it wanted...i can do most of it with my 315, but we are gettin a mini to go behind the houses and through the yards, should have pics of it tomarrow...but here's what i got for today

how do you mow/maintain something like that? i would think they'd have had you pull the slopes back somewhat....and throw some wattles in there to stop the erosion. you get a heavy rain, it'd be my guess a lot of what's been done there will be gone?

we did pull the slopes back...if you look at the pics in everyone of the last ones there isnt a side that isnt sloped...and i took the pics before we got straw on all of it...there isnt any bare dirt showing...and in the guys yard we raked all the rocks out of it...and whenever the grass comes up through the straw, straw rots and you have a yard again

thanks western star

dayexco, you just have to understand this part of the country. This is what we call a dry wash ditch. The ditch stays dry until it comes a hard rain and the water from the hills runs through the ditch on it's way to a creek. Once the grass gets a good root hold, very little erosion takes place because the ditch is not running with water all the time. That's a very nice job gasfield.
