We are looking for heavy equipment mechanics for a 12 month contract assignment in Afghanistan.

Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanics
Length: 1 year contract - Will renew based on need and performance

Background: We currently have over 2200 people in Afghanistan supporting the military and Coalition.

Description: Candidates will be working on all types of vehicles used in the military and reconstruction efforts. Examples of types of work will be pulling engines, repairing damage, etc. they are currently running 120 vehicles a week through the operation.

We are looking for people with experience working on heavy equipment like bull dozers, 18 wheelers, hydraulics, etc. Automobile mechanics will work if they have many years of experience and are certified mechanics. Heavy equipment is preferred. Employees work long hours and 7 days a week. Candidates will live in a tent that holds 12 people. Food, medical and shelter are all provided. $250K of life insurance is also provided. (most people carry life insurance that does not cover war zone, so if they have existing coverage, they need to check if that clause is in their existing coverage).

Candidates will need to pass a background and medical exam. Candidates must be able to get a passport if they do not already have one. We can assist with this if they do not have one.

Compensation: Base pay is $96,500 annually. $5k of that is a completion bonus at the end of a year.

Every 120 days, they receive $1500 travel money, but that can be used for any purpose they choose. 28 days of vacation. However, specific requested vacation days are not guaranteed based on needs of the operation.
