Looks like you guys are having fun!!

How do you get all these jobs? Do you and your buddies own a company and sub yourself out to larger firms that need the help?

Just curious :)

Just found this thread. How did you like the Komatsu WA250? I ran a WA200-5 about 3 weeks ago very shortly, had been running a Deere 744H most of the day that was a nice machine, but as soon as I got in that Komatsu I felt like I could move so much faster, more smoothly, and with more control.

the company we work for does enviroment remediation all over the country, so the job as a little traveling involved. its nice but i got an offer to make the same money working back home, so i gonna go home for awhile and see how that is:beatsme

the komatsu was pretty nice only the second one i've run, compared to the case which are both in the same class of machine the komatsu is far better of a machine , more lifting over center, i think something like 8000#s more over side and just plan better riding and pushing power

this job is at a old BASF plant , the "swamp" is by what i get really a man made retension pond for the property, and the pipes are some sort of treatment for the water . water comes in on the right side of the pics goes though the compost in the pipes crosses the dike then out of more compost then its pumped to these fields that are like mini tree farms were the water gets evaporated. the trees are in the background in the loader pics. the pipes the go up the sides of the dike are just cleanouts for the laterails

Sure are some neat pics. Thanks for posting. I've never really been around those long front excavators. Do you ever have any problems with the stick bending? How is the production on them as far as cycle times swing speed and so on?

i've only ran it for an hour or so , the cycle times are a bit slower mostly the crowd. i was out in the water on the mats and u dont want to go tofast anyway a chance sliding off the water is only like three feet but the mud is bottoms less, they had one slip off at the begining of the job and they said it cost them close to 10000 grand to get a wrecker and diver there to get it out

I felt like I could blow through a pile pretty easy with the crowd. I was working in pit handling crushed stone, the 200 definately felt like it had more juice when compared to the Deere 744, both with respectively sized buckets.

Interesting stuff you guys are doing.
