I've been buying Lucas Construction and Mining Grease for my 310L backhoe. It's a moly grease, and was recommended for pins and bushings.
I went to buy another case of it to have on hand just in case the supply goes belly up, and Lucas warned me that the shelf life of the product is only two years. NAPA has a sale on it right now.
I called Mobil and Valvoline, and they spec shelf life at 5 years.
I like Lucas products, but would prefer to have a grease with 5 years instead of 2.
Mobil greases are almost impossible to find, but Advance Auto stocks the Valvoline VV632 Moly Fortified for $6.99.
Should I switch, or just buy Lucas a case at a time, and not worry about shortages?
