Maybe they finally just used up all the green paint! I figured it pre-dated the B model. Come to think of it I'm not sure what's in the LTL. It's not a bone stock interior so it may not be true to form color wise.

According to the Mack guru Tocci around 69-70 they went to tan interior with the advent of plastic parts. From that point plastic was tan, metal was green. Another fun fact is almost all employees of Kirker Paint in NJ died of lead poising.

Well those people at the paint factory were probably eating it thinking it was guacamole:).

There are things you just associate or remember about trucks. Mack's ugly green interior, KW's straight up throttle pedal in the A model's, Pete's wiper mounts that crack,
Freightliner you freeze or fry in the cab, Volvo or GMC you shread your hands working in the sharp dash. Corn Queen door latches and window regulator's fall apart .
But for some reason Freightliner cab overs seamed to leak oil from the dash no mater what engine or compressor was between the rails.

You could always tell what the driver was herding down the road by the oil on top of his boots and the cuff of his jeans. LOL.:D

Damned if that don't bring back memories.

I still remember the Freightliner warning, if headed into an accident, lift you feet, will cut you off at the knees! Fought the KW fall apart dash assemblies, the Corn Binder all black with EVER so tiny numbers and wiring diagrams on the heater box.

International defined; Too fast for the Field, too slow for the Road, if it don't run paint it red and if still won't run chrome it!
