Are there any other specification differences between the Hitachi and John Deere log loaders apart from the make of engine and the colour of the paint?
Somebody is going to be happyHere is the new 310. It heads out to the woods next week.
Pape' has been pushing for us to try one. I just do not think they can beat the Tigercat for agility and longevity. Here is my 900 hour Hitachi 310 thanks to **** poor factory machining specs. The stick boom cylinder rod eye pin seized up in the bore and sheared off the retainer Bolt causing the pain to come flying out when he swung to grab another turn of logs on a steep sidehill. Stick boom came slamming down on top of the cylinder bending the rod and damaging the stick boom. They tried to say it was from lack of Grease but when we recovered the pin out of the brush it's still had a layer of grease on it. They were not going to warranty the $22,000 cylinder or $40,000 stick boom until I told them I would drop both of the new shovel off in the middle of the street in front of their Branch if they did not. In other photos you could see the galling on the sides of the pin boss and Rod eye for the cylinder. We have a cat 568 with 11000 hours that is tighter than both of those brand new John Deere and hitachi machines we have. We will not be purchasing any more.Got to test ride this sweet machine last week. 959 ml with a 60" t-mar grapple. Real niceView attachment 223848
