Quite a few nice service trucks but dont think they would like being dumped in the middle of W.A Aus in the iron ore mines.....seem to be more on road type trucks.

Once I get a post count up il post some pics of service trucks or lube trucks as you guys seem to call them :)

P.S love this site

Nothing remotely close to what most of you guys have but it does the job. Space is a problem though, have to pull a trailer sometimes.

Hi Mitch (feels weird typing that :) ) My service van is a Mitsubishi Colt, I think its called a L200 in the rest of the world. The dump truck is a Volvo A30E.

I used to use an '82 4x4 1-ton toyota with a 7 foot service bed. I got strange looks here in the U.S. from people who didn't believe they were real trucks. Nowadays the japanese companies don't import much but consumer pickups so I use a chevy. I do like the extra space in it.

mitchSA you would be alot more efficent if you had a bigger truck or do you just work close to the shop?? i just cant imagine having a truck that small i could not even get my basic tools in there but it would be great to have for parts run

Hey Fservice, I work within a 400km radius of the workshop. 99% of the work is done in the field. Big trucks like you guys have are not common here. Most of the field service guys. CAT KOMATSU etc have vans similar in size to mine. Differernt story on the mines though, they run service trucks. The toolbox is big enough. The side you can see open is just storage, the other side has drawers and some more storage.

By far not the ultimate. Bought it about a year ago for side jobs.
Been fixing it in my spare time. Everything works but she aint the prettiest.

These pics are when I first brought it home.

91' F700 with a 93' 5.9 Cummins , Eaton 5 speed & hydraulic brakes.
6000LBS Auto Crane on a 80's Dutec bed. Best of all no computers or emission crap !!
