Has anyone removed the lower tower covers on a SVL90?

I removed mine and cleaned the debris from the towers. Is there any good reasons to put them back on?

I've run mine over 1k hours with them removed. No issues so far. Keeps those towers much cleaner, I hardly have to clean anything from them anymore.
