Komatsu D31P 16 track adjuster

Grease fitting on adjuster went to leaking.I went to komatsu bought a new one it don't fit went back they said that is showed to fit.I took new & old to a machenis ,he said there was 10,000 differance. Any help.

I think it is, but did they use different ones,they look the same except for the new one has a place for safety clip on it.
