I really like the look of a "real" American truck.

Doesn't the long wheelbases hinder you in the daily work?
Getting in and out of tight places aren't that uncommon when handling bins I can imagine?
When buildning a hooktruck over here the tagaxle are always put behind the tandems and it is also steerable so it doesn't drag the pavement when making tight turns.

Here's one with a 25ton hook and a 27 ton/meter crane as well

K&W - Nice KW, what kind of hook are you planning on mounting. Also like the tractor package, you gonna pull pups?

Per Eriksson- I have always liked the European combo of a hook-lift and a artic crane. I would like to have this type of combo. The hook for changing out bodies (water tank, fuel tank, service body, flat bed, hydroseeder, dump bed) and the crane for lifiting (buckets, maintenance work, pipe, manholes, etc). One truck - many uses.

I'm having a 24ft pull trailer with a 15ft drawbar built as well, here are a few pics:

I'm going to do the same thing we do now, except with 40yd containers also!!

I'm putting a 50,000lb Ampliroll hook on it, and although the wheelbase is long.....it's still easier than getting into sites with a 260" wheelbase Tractor and a 45-48ft Trailer:Banghead!!!!

They are Thompson Fabrication Containers :D!!! I looked around at different boxes, and I really liked theirs :thumbsup....especially the radius from the sidewall to the floor, since I also back-haul different aggregates!!!!

Thanks for all the compliments :waving!!!!

I do not now what you will be hauling or how you are going to get loaded. But in the future you should look into getting 2 extra side plates welded to the containers like the one at the rear hinge side. I have them speced on all my conatiners it help the containers from bowing out when loading demo and packing it down with a machine.
