Architects, cartoonists of the construction industry in my experience. You gotta work on time and materials for those guys ,then its ok.
You better watch that Mammoet machine closely Crane Operator you might be tempted anyhow, cranes always seem to go dirt cheap at Ritchies in Chilliwack .

Couldn't make my last monday job. They called before I got there- "houston- we have a problem"

Blown out on inner sidewall, tire shop had me a tire on wed. morning. Scheduled to do the job on Thursday instead of monday. One of my guys went and helped the tire man with installing new tire, when he got back to the shop "Why did you have them put a bias ply on?" Houston- we have another problem.

Tire man got a Radial in on the thursday truck, tree trimmers don't work on friday- so job ended put off a week. Sometimes it's like that.

Second job is some shingles on a house, the regular shingle delivery truck was down, and they had a trailer in the way in the driveway. The roofer wanted the shingles all over on the house, I informed him that he wasn't getting that with the crane I brought (Have I mentioned how weak boom trucks are?) Anyways, he complained about carrying them, I cranked that the house was too far away from the road and the yard was super soft. Nobody was happy.

Beams on a deck / and a ridge beam. Its a big house, 10-12,000 sq ft. or so. 4 story tower in the one corner. The foundation was put in in 2007 or so, and the original house was framed but never finished when 2008 recession came.

That house rotted away and was torn down, and new house on the old foundation.

Around two 90 deg corners down a 10' sidewalk, galion with rear steer comes in handy.

Addition to a school cafeteria, push is on- supposed to be done when school starts and I was hanging bar joists....20200725_085902.jpg 20200725_085911.jpg 20200725_091204.jpg 20200725_092205.jpg

Had to get a little creative setting up. Took some steel mats and some extra wood along to get set up. We've actually been putting this job off since march. It rained every time we tried to do it this spring, and I told them it had to be dry to get on the hill. Then the RT was off on another job for a month in June, then the flat tire lost me a week. Didn't think I was ever going to get that tree down.

Last one is a momma and bambi in the shop yard. Little one is really small yet, still in all its spots.

Sidewall on that tire did not look so flexible anymore, may want to check the rest of them if have gotten so less than flexible as could leave you stranded somewhere!!

Always something with crane service, expect the world from you in mud muck mire or steep cliffs!!!

Crane Operator could easily win contests for optical illusions with his pics. Whether it looks like the boom is sitting on a building or the RT looks ready to topple over.

Getting a little work done on the counterweight truck. Front tag axle had been shifted off center, so old u-bolts out and pushed back, new u-bolts. Got a little frame added on to hold the flatbed, now just need the back axle mounted.

Went back to the school job and installed the HVAC units with the galion. 20200802_134728.jpg 20200802_134740.jpg 20200803_091647.jpg

Got three concrete boxes set, one under the power lines, one in a ditch, the last one across the creek and through the trees. Galion and the old ford flatbed to haul them.

Remember the framers that destroyed the rafter tails? They can't read plans either. Garage walls were 2' too short. Trusses all on and valleys filled, most of the sheeting on. Two girders and roof running two directions.

Sure I can pick the whole garage roof off- it might all turn to matchsticks, but I can pick it up.

Had them do a bunch of bracing inside, and sawzall the perimeter before I showed up. Picked better than I thought it would. I brought the gooseneck so I'd have something to set it on while they added the pony walls on.
