I've even found a little time for a honey do project. Old railroad tie retaining wall that holds up the mailbox was going to pieces. Two bunks of used ties from lowes and a little elbow grease. I hate working around the house.

Even found a old lawnmower engine in the backfill. Need a project anyone?

Easy way to drop the outrigger jack out the bottom for a reseal. We just stand the jack on a pallet on the forklift. I've had troubles with this cylinder before.

Dropped a manlift over a fence into a pool area for some painters.

Prefab wall and floor panels. Contractor has their own little portable tower crane, and it isn't working right. So we rolled in with the rt to help them out until its fixed. Of course its broke down right in the nice spot to set up crane, so I have to set up on the far side of it, and reach over it.

Another operator is on this job, but he wanted saturday off, so I took the overtime.

One side of the building isn't bad, the otherside is a mudhole, that they can't get telehandlers through. The general said any rock they put on it just disappears.

It was saturday, and its right across the road from a grocery store that smokes outside. It was ribs for lunch...

Guy moving in from out of state (california). Loaded 3 conexes full of his stuff out there, then shipped them here. Over the retaining wall, side by side. 27,000lbs was the heavy one.

I looked at it a couple months ago, and told him he needed to widen the driveway for the road trucks.

Of course he knew better and didn't widen it. Bellied out trailers. Stuck trucks. Bent bumpers. Pissed truck drivers. Unhappy motorists with the road being blocked. Highway patrol showed up. It was a rodeo.

One of the drivers gave up on backing in. So after unloading, we unhooked him from his trailer, spun it with the crane, and got him headed back the other way.

Wonder what’s going on with that ma21. Not much to those cranes. Potain does a good job of stocking parts for those. Are they waiting on parts or do they not know what the issue is.

I've heard two different things, one story was it needs all new cable. Other story is a cylinder is blowing hydraulic oil. I think there isn't much hydraulic on it except to stand it up, so I'm not sure what cylinder they are talking about.

The one guy keeps telling my operator that he wants them to get rid of the tower and get a RT or truck crane. They say its horribly slow. Can't make any time setting panels. They don't own their own truck to move it around the jobsite. They've buried it and the hired semi on this project.

My guess is they don't know what they are doing.

It’s got two cylinders. One to stand the mast up, and one to unfold the jib. Could be either one.

I’d bet money all the cables for that crane are on a shelf in Jeffersonville Indiana.

A lot of those smaller cranes run on either 480v or 230v, but a lot of them run at a slower speed in power saving mode when on 230v. Sales guy tells customer he only needs 230v, then customer gripes that the crane is to slow to do anything with. Don’t know that that’s the case but be worth a check.

I’m a firm believer in those little self erectors. Hurts me to see them abused/misused.

At the Utility used to use a Digger Derrick to drop a hole then run out rigger cylinders into that for R&R. A little overhang ledge works as well as shown!!

Glad to see the guy that is rigging up the manlift is wearing the appropriate work boots… But I guess you did say you were moving it for painters… Kind of makes sense....

Almost guarantee if a harness is even present won't get used.
