JLG 450A platform foot switch

I have to go and check out a JLG 450A lift tomorrow morning. The customer said that when operating the machine they have to cycle the foot switch every 4-5 seconds to keep operating. There are two 7 second timers in the panel, is there any good way of testing these and also for testing the foot switch? Any other ideas that could cause this?

Never did figure out exactly what was wrong or how the system works but I went out there and opened up the platform control box, looked around, checked voltages at a few places, put it all back together and it's worked great for the last 3 weeks.
