New to the forum. I just bought a Jd 455g a few weeks ago and I'm trying to determine how wore out the loader pins and bushings are. When I stand beside the machine and grab the bucket curl cylinders I can move it side to side but not up and down. Can I just shim it to remove the play? I did remove one of curl cylinders and the bushing in it looked fine

What I would do is fill the bucket with dirt ,set level on the ground ,have someone work bucket, watch how much play you have.
