Hows it going... Saw this loader advertised during the week so went to have a look;) Its in only fair condition, couple of panels missing but they found them in the workshop, being sold with a bucket and set of forks, 2001 machine, 6670hrs. Arms and centre pivot are in good condition. Now for the bad news... it has a hydrostatic transmission problem were it only drives in the high range and when the machine warms up it loses drive power. Long story short anyway 5k plus the vat i couldnt leave it behind. Was i mad? Anyone know anything about these little loaders?

Is your Hi-Lo Range selector on the forward reverse shifter? If it is it could be an electrical problem (for the no low speed issue).

Hey there hoping the loader might be worth around 13k plus the vat cleaned up and going well. No speed selector on the shuttle on this model. When cold the pump isnt returning to zero swash with engine ticking over so when forward/reverse is selected it jumps forward and the brakes can hardly stop it. After warming up then it loses drive power. Thinking of pulling the pump out for testing/repair over the weekend. Il post a few pic the next time i get back to it. Thank lads

Took the pump off over the weekend, came out handy enough. Really bad hose routing under the cab gonna have to replace a good few hoses that are chaffed and wearing off each other:mad: Leaving the drive motor in place for now until the pump is looked at. Here are a few pics anyway to show the progress

Nice buying Jam.I hope it works out OK.

I'm just wondering what the general consensus is on these JCB loaders...I'm looking at buying a small loader soon, for some light contracting work.

Cheers jim... From what i can see they seem to have a well built frame and front end. Also have a really nice cab but id shoot the fella who designs the hydraulic routing. The last owner said after 5000hrs he started to replace hoses cause they were wearing through of each other. Not a nice job with the rads in place so thinking im gonne replace a good few now that its easy. Overall id say not such a bad little loader
