Hello,
I have a Hyster 155XL2 that is creeping forward with my foot off the throttle pedal. It has the Monotrol pedal on top of the gas pedal. I just bought the forklift and it was like this. Do you think it is the Monotrol pedal, or some adjustment somewhere? Trying to make it safe for my employees.

Thanks

It could be the pedal but it’s worth having a technician look at it if your main concern is safety. Where are you located?

Monotrol has NO neutral unless you pull the parking brake. If parking brake released it is fwd or rev only no neutral at the pedal.

Exactly. With the parking brake released it's in drive, whether forward or reverse depending on which way the monotrol pedal is switched last. With no neutral, one should have their foot on either the brake (middle) pedal or the left inching/brake pedal. The left inching pedal will release the transmission when you have it depressed slightly, which allows you to slightly depress the pedal, giving you a neutral, and rev the engine with the monotrol pedal to rapidly raise the forks. Monotrol takes some getting used to, but it works great in fast moving warehouse applications once an operator learns how to use it.
