After 50 yrs sometines working in 6 inches of mud you just kinda get a sense for these things and I had the benefit of sitting under some great instructors with Case service in Racine.
For many wears we dominated our area in sales with the 580 series hoes, but now the small guy has a tough time justifying the costs as equipment price increases occour and municipalities have been our mainstay as far as sales.
Just another hint for diagnosis, If the pump gets hot to the touch very quickly under a relief valve load that is almost a dead giveaway of a failed pump.
Sorry you had a bad experience with your dealer. Flow tests take some time to get hooked up and can be messy and some mechanics would sooner not mess, Just guess.
