On a job last week switching between breaker and bucket . Cat 304 . Every time we went to put the breaker on we had to loosen the fittings on the machine to hook it up . Flat face couplers that looked to be in good shape . I shut machine down , key back on and wiggle all the buttons . Pressure was always on the machine side . How do you bleed the system ? Thanks , Kevin .

It's a two person job unfortunately. Key on, engine off, safety lever activated, get your assistant to hold the breaker control switch on while you connect a line, hold it the other way and connect the other line.

There are some quick couplers with very coarse threads made in Italy , can't remember the name. Let you connect under pressure

Sorry, They are made in Sweden and called TLX style. They have a coarse thread connect under pressure with a positive retainer pin lock

Probably work a lot better if you also take the cap off the hydraulic reservoir before relieving the circuit. When you get the fittings hooked up cycle the boom up and down a couple of times to re-pressurize the tank.
