how to use a 6wy dozer blade

this is problably a dumb ? but i just got a dozer blade from a friend it needed a plug for it. i have a jd 333d 2011 . i just purchased a plug for it . i have tilt and up and down but i dont have side to side what am i doing wrong ive push all the buttons i can is there something im missing or what is there a pattern that im not doing yet please help if u can
