how to turn email connection off

    I am getting email notifications for every post that I read or comment on -kinda flooding my in box how do i turn this function off without messing anything else up?

    From a regular computer you are logged into just go up to the top right and click on your user name... then when the next page appears in the left column about half way down you should see a 'Preferences' link - click on that and you'll see an option to watch threads you start or reply to and if you want email notification of em'.
