I googled "Heavy Equipment Forums" when I was looking for help, advice and info on buying my used dozer and the old FiatAllis scraper I acquired and fixed up.

I believe it was King Of Obsolete that put a link to it on the ACME Cat bulletin board. Very enjoyable so far!

Let's just say that I found out the best way to unload a 627B scraper isn't over the side!

Well atleast you didn't get hurt. :thumbsup
And you made a bad situation better by taking pics. :yup

I'll find the pics, if you insist...

We always do. :D

And to keep this thread on track, I found this site by searching for "heavy equipment forum" on Yahoo. It was at the top of the list.

Welcome to the forums! :)

I don't know that we have anyone other members from the same family. If so, I don't recall any of them having said so.

So, as kids, which brother(s) got beat up on by the other one(s)? :)

i found this site with google search for equipment, ive read some interesting threads here. i am not an operator nor an owner. i am an owner of a sandblasting and painting company in ontario canada that has been repainting heavy equipment for a lot of years, i am finding myself taking more of an interest in heavy equipment. i look forward to reading and posting on this site. Maybe even make a few new friends as well.

Glad to see you have joined. I bet you have a lot of knowledge as to the best ways and type of paints to use on heavy equipment. I'm sure a lot of members would appreciate your opinions. Welcome

frustration and luck

I recently bought a JCB 215 S Series II backhoe. Just yesterday, the brakes locked up and it would not go forward. I checked and its not the emergency brake. I ordered the owners manual but am extremely worried it is something major.

Actually, this is Dtmans wife. My husband is frustrated and I know he can fix anything. I would just like a response from someone who owns this backhoe. Any ideas the problems?
