Impressive. I thought before seeing this that a broach,pritchel, plasma arc and a water jet were pretty much it.

Clever those Japanese! they are doing it in aluminum. wounder how well it would fair in 1 1/2" plate?

I know this is an old thread but square hole drilling has been around for 50 years or longer. I ran a radial drill that squared the holes in the u joints for Cat grader shafts back in the mid 60s and I don't think it was a new process then.
