Genie scissor lift 1930 charging question.

Worked! Was the receptacle where the wires are attached with screws. One was corroded. Disconnected all wires, trimmed each wire about an inch, removed about 1/2 inch insulation and connected each in the same order. No heat during charging. Was easy and saved a load of time. Thank you!!
