The sight glass was leaking on our Chempion 715A. I tightened the two screws, stopping the leak. I added 3 qts. of Dexron, bring the level to about 3/4 with the machine not running. With the machine idling the sight glass is empty. Am I still low or is this normal? I don't have a manual for the trans, so I'm working basically in the dark, seeking advice. Thanks, John

I believe the glass should be half full with the engine running. I can check the book tomorrow and let you know for sure.
We still run a 740 with a 9150 and it’s never given a problem other than the control cables.
