Hello,

I recently purchased a 1987 CASE 480E LL, Construction King, and none of the dashboard instruments are working. The rpm gauge does move when I turn on the ignition key but does not work while the engine is running.

Any ideas?

Welcome miklav!
The tacho, if electric & yours sounds like it is, gets it's feed from the alternator. There should be a plug with a single wire. Make sure it is plugged in or maybe the alternator has been changed for a different model.
If that is OK , remove the dash & check the main plug that goes into it. Sometimes the connectors on the printed circuit get bent up or corroded.

The alternator's rectifier was bad, R&R for $20.00 US dollars, now the RPM gauge works. The instrument panel's PCB is bad. The PCB copper tape has delaminated from PCB. Attempting to rewire with conventional 16 gauge stranded wires.
