ford 555 tires

i have an older 555 (possibly 1989) that is in dire need of front tires. someone told me i could put 16" truck tires on it. is this true? i have a set of 16s that came off my ford f250 super duty that i could use. the hoe is just used around the house, not commercially.

lots 16LT being used on them,, if doing heaving lifting need stronger tire
