Alright guys, I have another one for you. My 545B has developed a lot of "play" in the steering wheel. It appears that the lost motion is in the steering gear itself. Is there a way to take up some of that slop(ie: pre load set screw or something similar)?

backhoe1, well don't know if you have a parts book that mite show the set up, search the minnpar site, click the parts book info at the top line,it will bring up the list of parts books, their is a FA545B listed, may not be the same s/n but it show's a brake done of the steering for a city of ny machine. looks like their may be some adjustments that could be made to remove some play, hope this helps some.
