Not sure if this is the right spot for this question. I own a small irrigation company, when we trace irrigation wire etc, we are using a tempo 521 locator, you hook up xmitr to wire or valve wire you want to locate and you have a handheld rvcr that emits tone only, no display, etc. I have a chance to pick up a used 950r/t locator that most utility companies or dig safe uses to mark cable, Telco, power etc. I have been told if I hook up their direct connect leads, it will work for irrigation as well or any wire etc. Anyone using and thoughts??
