Diesel giving its chance will run on only motor oil, 5wt oil add ain't going to hurt it. 20 years ago Minnesota was littered with dead vehicles because of the diesel mandate
5wt oil will definitely hurt most anything newer than around 2007.

Older stuff.. it's not great for injectors.

40 year old diesel likes oil nothing tier 4 but the old stuff will get marvel mystery oil or find on clearance ATF cheapest going in the tank. Biofuel use to be notoriously dry & gelled up easy slightest bit of cold
Biodiesel isn't "dry". It's an excellent lube. Even a 5% blend is better than most additives for lube.

Warranty is voided if you use b20 that's only 20% biodiesel if it's so great? I understand tier 4 you don't want put additives plug the filter

If an additive was that critical there would be 10's of thousands of dead diesel engines littering the planet because the owners never used anything other than diesel.
